| Remarks | 紀伊藩のお抱え刀工である重国（初代、1577？～1637）が作刀した刀。茎の鎬筋に沿って「於南紀重國造之」の銘が切られている。鎬造、庵棟で反りは浅い。身幅は広めで、平肉はあまり付かず、中鋒とする。地鉄はよく目の詰んだ板目肌で、鎬地は柾目肌となる。刃文は直刃に小湾れで、小互の目が交じる。帽子は乱れ込んで、焼き詰めとなる。茎は磨り上げて、先を切る。鑢目は緩やかな勝手下がりで、目釘穴は４個（２個は大きめ）で、うち３個は鉛で埋める。目釘穴を大きくあける特徴から、寛永期に作刀されたものと考えられる。 |
