| Remarks | 紀州三大文人画家の一人・野呂介石(1747～1828)が、紀伊藩儒・菊池衡岳(1747～1805)の七周忌の文化９年(1812)に、追悼の意を込めて制作した作品。画面奥から流れる鳴滝川（和歌山市）のほとりには、琴を弾く人物と茶を烹る童子がおり、川を下ると、両岸に不動堂と弁天堂と思われる堂舎が淡く描かれている。自賛には、衡岳と鳴滝に遊ぶことはもうできないが、七周忌の今日、吹上精舎に集い、本図を描いて追感の情を託して墓前への供物としようと記される。和歌山の茶人・清水曲洲(1830？～82)や漢学者・倉田績(1827～1919の旧蔵品である。 |
