| Remarks | 牛玉宝印とは、寺社で配布されるお札の一種である。起請文の料紙として使われるほか、延命長寿・家内安全のお守りとして家に飾ったり、田んぼの水口にさして虫除けにしたりした。熊野三山の牛玉宝印は有名であるが、村々の寺社でも独自の牛玉宝印が刷られた。この版木の中央には「十輪寺」、左右に「牛玉」「宝印」と陽刻されており、十輪寺で刷られた牛玉宝印の版木であることがわかる。十輪寺は、紀美野町神野市場にかつて所在した寺院と思われ、同地の満福寺には、十輪寺に伝来した仏像や経典が残されている。 |
