| Remarks | 季節は秋、遠く奇山にかかる滝に源を発する渓流は深く谷を刻んで流れ、渓谷を縫って細々と続く小径をゆく二人の高士が、しばし歩を休めて景観に見入る、そのような情景を描いている。画面右上の余白に、「神波山上在斜暉、人賞奇観不識帰、楓葉酔霜瀑肥雨、錦雲堆裏白龍飛」の七絶一首と「丙申秋日写併題、山陰客中、雲在仙史」の落款、「長徳私印｣･「雲在」の印章が認められる。題詩の「神波山」は、現在の京都府綾部市白道路（はそうじ）にある山（高浪山）で、山岳信仰の拠点として知られたようである。款記によれば、明治29年(1896)の山陰方面への旅行中の作とわかる。。長坂雲在(?〜1905)は、伊勢・松阪に生まれ、下津･長保寺に僧籍を置いて諸国を巡り、和歌浦に滞留したこともあり、晩年は大阪にも在住したという。 |
