| Remarks | 内側の見込中央に葦と蟹を配し、胴の外側には不老橋を描き、背景に月と妹背山を添える。胴の余白に「身に積もる秋も思わで和歌の浦の、月は老せぬ橋に愛でまし」(原文は万葉仮名による)という不老橋と和歌浦の月を詠んだ和歌も書かれている。同種の作品がいくつか知られるが、それらには藩主･治宝を讃えた別の和歌が記されており、本品ではその和歌を改変したものと思われる。このことから、本品の製作時期は、治宝が没した嘉永６年(1853)ころと比定することも可能であろう。高台内に、「南紀男山」の染付銘がある。 |
