| Remarks | 浄土真宗本願寺第8世の蓮如(1415～99)は門弟に、親鸞と蓮如の連座像や自身の寿像を与え、勢力の拡大を図っているが、連座像としては京都･西法寺本や西本願寺本など、単独像としては、大阪･光善寺本や慈願寺本などが知られる。当館所蔵のこの資料は単独の肖像で、裏書から文政6(1823)年に真宗興正寺派の本山から末寺に与えられたことが判明している。面容や左手のみに数珠を持つ点など、上述した事例とは異なる点を持つ。 |
