| Remarks | 画面と詞書を交互に繰り返す一般的な絵巻物の形態をとるが、画面は単純な構成と稚拙な技法で描かれ、詞書は近世の丁寧語表現で記されている。その詞書は、道成寺を「当寺」というように表現し、建立の由来や近辺の地形の状況についての叙述が挿入されるなど、道成寺と何らかの関係のある主体によって作成されたものと考えられる。紙面全体にわたり、規則的に折り目が入っていることから、元来は軸などは取り付けられず、細かく折り畳まれて絵解きなどに使用されていたものと推測される。 |
