| Remarks | 泥絵とは、胡粉や白土を顔料に混ぜてつくった絵の具を用いて、江戸時代の中ごろから描かれるようになった油絵風の絵画のことをいう。西洋画の遠近法や陰影法も取り入れた作品もある。本品も以上の特色を持ち、和歌浦を北から展望した構図で、画面中央右から奠供山･玉津島神社･芦辺茶屋･三断橋･海禅院多宝塔･観海閣を描いている。ただし、片男波を表現しているものと思われる手前の砂州は、実際の位置とは異なっており、作者の誤解である。 |
