| Remarks | 和歌山市出身の政治家･陸奥宗光(1844～97)が、枢密院書記官長･伊東巳代治(1857～1934)に宛てて出した書簡。年紀はないが、諸条件を勘案すると、明治24年(1891)７月と推測される。この年の５月、陸奥は第１次松方正義内閣の農商務大臣に任命され、８月には内閣政務部長に着任した。この書簡は、政務部設置を提案した陸奥が、伊藤博文(1841〜1909)に対して政府系新聞統一構想ついての意向を確認すべく、東京･伊皿子の伊藤本邸ではなく、小田原別邸においての面談を、伊藤の腹心である伊東に取り次ぎを依頼したものではないかと考えられる。 |
