| Remarks | 祇園南海(1676～1751)は、紀州藩の儒者であるが、わが国の文人画の創始者、また漢詩人として著名である。40歳前後ごろから、本格的に四君子・山水などの絵画を描きはじめるが、構図は簡単で、ほとんどが墨一色であり、余白に詩の一節を書する作品が多い。本品は、太湖石に竹を描き、竹を愛でる対句を副えたものである。 |
