| Remarks | 野呂介石(1747～1828)は、和歌山紺屋町の大年寄の家に生まれ、紀州藩の儒官伊藤蘭嵎に儒学を、京都の池大雅に絵画を学んだ。また、物産方として藩に出仕し、熊野や大台山系を踏査した。本品は、那智滝の周辺を描くもので、真景図に近いが樹木などの点景は池大雅風であり、彼の画歴を物語っている。介石の作品は水墨や淡彩のものが多いが、本品は濃彩緻密なもので、代表作のひとつである。落款により介石59歳(文化2(1805)年）の筆であることがわかる。 |
