| Remarks | 太田焼は、明治8(1875)年から同12年頃の短期間、現在の和歌山市太田で稼働していた窯である。製品は、偕楽園焼を模した交趾写と、鉄釉の上に灰釉をかけて窯変させた海鼠(なまこ)釉の二手があり、輸出向けに焼かれたものと言われている。この作品は、丸底の本体に十字に交叉する吊り手をつけた釣花生で、典型的な海鼠釉が全体にかかり、窯の特徴がよく表れている。底部中央に「物化堂製」の印刻銘がある。 |
