| Remarks | 狩野興甫(?～1671)は、父・狩野興以(？〜1636)の跡を継ぎ、寛永4年(1627)に100石で紀伊藩のお抱えとなった狩野派の絵師で、万治3年(1660)に家督を息子･狩野興益(？〜1705)に譲って隠居し、寛文11年(1671)に没した。以後、子孫は代々紀伊藩御用絵師をつとめ、一般に「紀州狩野」として知られている。この屏風は、六曲一双の右隻に雲龍・達磨・文珠・白鷺・布袋・恵比寿を、左隻に滝山水・白衣観音・猫に牡丹・冬景山水図・大黒天・雲龍の各図を配するもので、各扇に「興甫筆」の落款と「狩野」の朱文方印が認められる。 |
