| Remarks | 作者の上辻木海(1800～75)は、和歌山城下東長町に住んだ町医者で、名は邦彦、字を伯英、通称を貞輔という。本草学者の小原桃洞(1746〜1825)に本草学を、野呂介石(1747〜1828)に絵を学んだ。また、漢詩人の菊池海荘(1799〜1881)や頼山陽(1780〜1832)らとも交流があった。この作品は、紅葉の季節に、紀の川北岸の鳴滝川上流にある鳴滝不動尊を訪れたときの感慨を、絵と漢詩で表現したもの。軽妙な淡彩で、清流のそばの林の中に建つ堂舎を山水画風に描く。自作の七言絶句２首は画面の左右に配置され、右は紅葉と清流の美しさを、左は後ろ髪を引かれながら、夕暮れの帰り道での心情を詠む。款記は「暮秋遊鳴泉光景概如斯、木海老漁併写」、款印は「紀邦彦」(白文方印)で、関防印は「詩思清千水」(朱文方印)、遊印は「臥游泉石」(白文方印)が捺される。 |
