| Remarks | 紀伊藩領であった伊勢･松阪の出身で、京で活動した南画家･青木夙夜(?〜1802)による山水図。画面中央に、青々とした高山から２本の滝をつくって流れ下る１筋の小川を配置し、その流れのほとりの庵の中で隠棲する人物が描かれる。画面左上の落款は、「餘夙夜写」（款記）、「餘俊明」・「餘夙夜」（白文方印）。夙夜は、名は俊明、字は春塘･八岳と号した。書家の韓天寿(1727〜95)の従兄弟といわれ、百済の余璋王の後裔を自称したため、餘夙夜や餘俊明の名も用いた。絵を京の池大雅(1723〜76)に学んで、山水画をよくし、大雅堂に居住したという。作品は師風にならったものと、中国の古典に私淑したものがあるが、本品は前者の文人画の作品である。 |
