| Remarks | 折烏帽子に水干姿で豹皮に座る新井白石(1657～1725)の肖像画。新井家伝来の画像を、紀州にゆかりの深い大和絵師･岩瀬広隆(1808～1877)が模写したものである。白石は、6代将軍･徳川家宣(1662〜1712）と7代将軍･徳川家継(1709〜16)の側近として幕政に関与したほか、朱子学者･木下順庵(1621〜99)門下の後輩である祇園南海(1676〜1751)を正徳度(1711年) の朝鮮通信使の応接役に抜擢したことでも知られる。 |
