| Remarks | 幕末･維新期に活躍した紀州の画人･笹川遊原(1829～81)による作品。松の枝に座る雌雄2匹の猿を淡彩で描く。夫婦和合や長寿を表す吉祥画題である。猿の輪郭は白い外隈であらわし、薄く塗った地の色の上から、柔らかそうな猿の体毛を濃淡により立体的に表現する。款記は「遊原」、款印は「昌信之印」（白文方印）と「䔥斎」（朱文方印）である。遊原は、御用絵師であった父から狩野派の画法を学んだほか、琳派や南画も習得してその作域を広げ、筑紫翠雲･榎本遊谷･岡本遊汀らの画人を育てた。 |
