| Remarks | 紀州の三大文人画家の１人・桑山玉洲(1746～99)は、単に文人画家としてだけではなく、『絵事鄙言』･『玉洲画趣』などの画論を著した理論家としても有名である。この資料は、玉洲独特の南画様式を確立する以前に描かれた、濃彩の写生的な草花画である。自然のままに、逆くの字形に伸びた白菊を描く。若い葉と古い葉を色彩を変えて描き分けている。 |
