| Remarks | 江戸時代後期に那賀郡西野山村（紀の川市）で家塾･春林軒を開き、医療・教育活動を行った医師･華岡青洲(1760〜1835)の肖像画（寿像）である。羽織･袴を着し、帯剣して端座するこの種の絵は、丹波長績(素俊、号･成章堂)に命じて肖像を描かせ、自らその上に医者の心構えを七言絶句の漢詩にしたためて、門人の求めに応じて制作して分け与えたもので、各地にこのような肖像の類例が確認されている。本品は、小林という門人の求めに応じて、文政12年(1829)、青洲70才の時の寿像に、青洲自らが賛を記したものである。老いてなお衰えぬ医学への情熱がうかがわれ、青洲の風貌や医学への思いを知ることができる作品である。 |
