| Remarks | 幕末維新期の和歌山の世情を綴った『小梅日記』の作者で、紀伊藩の儒官･川合梅所(1794〜1871)の妻・川合小梅(1804〜89)は、儒学を祖父の川合春川(1751〜1824)に、絵を野際白雪(1773〜1849)に学んだ。この作品は、とげのある枝に丸みのある小さな葉を持ち、薄紅色の花をつけたバラを、小梅が描いたもの。七言絶句の賛詩は、明治時代初めに和歌山城下で私塾を開いて儒学を教えていた市川霞洞(1815〜90)によるもので、四季咲きのバラの美しさを牡丹を引き合いに出して詠んでいる |
