| Remarks | 屏風仕立ての作品にはめずらしい真景図で、右隻に東照宮から妹背山、左隻に名草山を描く。東照宮・天満宮・玉津島社・紀三井寺といった寺社の建物と境内周辺の様子が正確に描かれ、入江・砂州等の描写もかなり精度が高い。和歌浦の景観に関して、もっとも史料性の豊かな作品の1つといえよう。作者の法橋江阿弥とは、大坂の画人安村江阿弥のことで、彼が延享元(1744)年以前に法橋位、宝暦12(1762)年以前に法眼位を得ていることから、本品の製作年代を把握することができる。 |
