| Remarks | のちに和歌山城主となった浅野幸長(1576～1613)から、熊本城主・加藤清正(1562～1611)の家臣で、熊本で留守をあずかる吉村橘左衛門に宛てた慶長4年(1599)2月の書状。塩肴の贈答への謝礼や「御吉兆」（徳川家と加藤家の婚礼か）などに関わる内容が記されている。幸長と清正は２度とも朝鮮に出陣し、慶長3年(1598)8月、豊臣秀吉の死去を契機に秋ごろに帰国している。帰国後、幸長と清正らは、秀吉の子・秀頼に拝謁するために上洛するが、閏３月９日に石田三成を襲撃していおり、関ヶ原の戦いの遠因となったといわれている。幸長は１年後の関ヶ原の戦いで戦功を上げ、紀伊国37万6千石に転封となった。 |
