| Remarks | 宝永4(1707)年に新宮地方を襲った大地震により、破損した新宮城の石垣についての状況報告のための絵図面。袋の表書により、修理を幕府に届け出て許可を仰ぐため、江戸の紀州藩邸宛てに提出された公図の控えであることが判明する。なお、この図面が作成された時の新宮城主は水野重期（重上の子）、紀州藩主は徳川吉宗であった。内閣文庫や三原市立図書館（広島県）にも新宮城および城下の絵図があるが、本品は上記のような特定の目的のために作成されている点で貴重である。 |
