| Remarks | 祇園南海は、正徳元(1710)年度の朝鮮通信使来朝に際し、通訳として抜擢され、応接の場面で功を成した。本品は、その際に同じ職責を果たした加賀藩儒・伊藤佑之（順卿、1681〜1736）の和歌山来訪をうけ、正徳5(1714)年3月、送別の辞としてしたためられた文である。両者の共通の経験をふまえ、伊藤の文才や行動力を高く評価して、通信使との交流についての記録を残すよう期待している。なお、この文は『南海先生文集』などには掲載されていない。 |
