| Remarks | 紀州の三大文人画家の一人・祇園南海(1676～1751)による七律詩書。亡くなった垣内秀才すなわち垣内東皐（全庵、1680～1732）の文才を偲び、東皐の詩にあわせて作り献呈したものである。東皐は、有田郡栖原村（湯浅町）の生まれで、京都で伊藤仁斎・東涯に師事し、のち江戸で医業を営み、その後豊前中津藩の侍医となった。享保17年(1732)に、病のため致仕し帰郷しようとしたが叶わず、当地で没した。本品は、甲寅(1734)年６月の南海自筆によるもの。南海独特の鋭い筆遣いの行書の作品で、「源瑜之印(白文)」「湘雲主人(朱文)」の印と、「江上清風山間名月」の関防印が捺されている。『南海先生後集』収録のものとは、わずかに異同がみられる。 |
