| Remarks | 紀州藩御抱絵師、笹川遊原(1829～1881)の筆。遊原は、名を昌信、別号肅々斎といい、紀州藩御抱絵師であった父･岩井宗雪の跡目を継いだ。御抱絵師ではあるが、琳派や南画の手法をもとり入れた作域は幅広く、また筑紫翠雲･榎木遊谷･岡本遊汀ら紀州画人の師としても著名である。本品は、上方に杉木立と鳥居を描き、下方に供物を捧げる衣かつぎの2人物を配する図柄で、簡潔な表現ながら技量の確かさが看取される。画面左下方に「遊原戯画」の落款と「昌信之印」の白文方印が認められる。 |
