| Remarks | 六曲一双屏風の各扇に、様々な姿態の12種の竹を描き分けた押絵貼形式の作品。作者は、紀州の三大文人画家の一人・野呂介石(1747〜1828)で、その技量の高さがあらわされる。款記の配置から、当初から押絵貼の屏風として成立していたことがうかがわれる。その款記からは、寛政5年(1793)2月の制作で、かつ右隻第６扇の「花朝」という語から、2月上旬の作であることがわかる。この2月15日には、介石は桑山玉洲(1746〜99)らと熊野遊歴に出発しており、その直前に制作されたことも想像される。なお、右隻第２扇の「法楳花衟人」とは、中国・元時代の画人・呉鎮(1280〜1354)をさし、その画風にならったことをあらわしているのであろう。 |
