| Remarks | 紀州三大文人画家の一人・野呂介石(1747～1828)が、文政９年(1826)７月、80歳の最晩年に描いた山水図屛風。右隻は、水辺をあまり描かず、中央に主山と大樹が並ぶ樹林を据え、樹林の上部を靄で隠して鬱蒼とした景を力強く表現する。山間にはいくつかの家屋が見え、左手にはやや大きな四阿があるが、人影はない。左隻は、水辺の景を比較的広く取り、中央に滝や家屋、右下に橋、左上にはそびえる山々や家並みを描き連ねている。滝の右下にあるやや大きな家屋の中には、目立たぬながら一人の人物が座り、滝の方を眺める。左右隻ともに、樹幹や山肌を彩る代赭と、樹葉や遠山の藍がコントラストをなし、全体に淡く美しいトーンを奏でる。 |
