| Remarks | 野呂介石の弟子で紀州藩のお抱え絵師となった野際白雪(1773～1849)が描いた梅月図屏風である。「丁亥夏日写」･「蔡徴」･「群玉斎」･「白雪」･「蔡徴印」･「蔡伯亀」の落款･印章から、文政10年(1827)、白雪51歳の筆であることがわかる。今日まで知られている野際白雪の作品は数多いが、この屏風は最も大作であり、代表作と目されるものである。梅の大樹の周囲に水の流れを配し、上方には外隈で月を表現する。梅を愛したことで知られる林和靖による漢詩の有名な一節、「疎影横斜水清浅、暗香浮動月黄昏」にもとづく作品であろう。 |
