| Remarks | 瑞芝焼は、鈴丸焼･滅法谷焼ともよばれ、和歌山城下の鈴丸（和歌山市畑屋敷新道丁付近）で、享和元年(1801)に岡崎屋・阪上重次郎がはじめたとされる。当初は民窯であったが、紀伊徳川家10代藩主・治宝がその色彩を愛でて「瑞芝堂」と命名し、次第に藩の御用窯的な性格を持つようになった。この火鉢は、瑞芝焼の優品のひとつで、深みのある淡緑色の釉薬と、手彫による肥痩のない沈線であらわした葵唐草文の文様が美しい。底部端に、単枠内に楷書体で「南紀瑞芝堂製」印の陰刻銘が捺されている。 |
