| Remarks | 日本で初めて出版された鯨類の専門書で、総論では鯨の名称などを検討し、各論では14種の鯨の図と特徴を記述する。初版は宝暦10年(1760)に刊行され、わが国の博物学史において重要な位置を占める。著者の山瀬春政(梶取屋治右衛門)は、和歌山城下で薬舗を営んでいた人物という。本品は、寛政６年(1794)に印行されたもの。 |
