| Remarks | 原品は、高野山登山道のうち中世のメインルートであった町石道(墾路ともいう)沿いに建てられた花崗岩(御影石)製の五輪卒塔婆型石塔のうちの1本で、山頂から数えて173町の町石で九度山町宮ノ壇に立つ。総計200余基(町石180基、里石4基、奥之院参道町石36基)の町石は、文永2年(1265)に覚ｷｮｳが発願し、幕府の有力御家人･安達泰盛(1231〜85)の援助を得て、20年後の弘安8年(1285)に完成した。173町石の施主｢法師西隆｣についてはいかなる人物か不明。 |
