| Remarks | 菊池海荘(1799～1881)は、砂糖問屋河内屋の次男として栖原(現･湯浅町)に生まれた。幼少の頃から漢詩を学び、詩人としても有名である。頼山陽、渡辺華山ら幕末の思想家と交流し、異国船の来航に備える要を説いた「海防余言」を建白、農民の立場に立った海防論者として活躍した。本品は、自詠の五言絶句を2行に認めたものである。 |
