| Remarks | 「明妃出塞図」とは、中国・前漢時代の王昭君(B.C.51〜A.D.15)という官女が、皇帝の元帝(B.C.76～B.C.33)から選ばれて、南匈奴の呼韓邪単于(?〜B.C.31)のもとへ嫁ぐ場面を絵画化したもの。悲劇の美女の物語として、中国では古くから描かれてきた画題である。本品は、備中国倉敷出身の画人･岡延年(1740～1811)による模写で、緻密な描写や、繊細で清々しい彩色に特徴がある。原本は、紀州の三大文人画家の一人･祇園南海(1676～1751)が延享4年(1747)に描いたもので、延年は享和２年(1802)の自跋の前に、南海の跋文を書風や印章にいたるまで、きわめて精巧に写し取っている。 |
